So it comes down to the conundrum I'm facing this week: go for a guy I've been seeing for a few months that I like a lot but has since moved across the country with no plans of moving back, or continue to wonder about another guy who is a friend of a friend that I accidentally made out with a lot the other night, but who sends mixed signals. Complicating the matter further is the fact that with the first guy, we left it as a "let's just see" situation, and I'm unsure whether we're still officially dating or not. According to Facebook, he's still seeing someone (me), but it looks like he hasn't been on Facebook since February. The whole issue is perplexing, since with Guy 1 I know what I'm getting, and I'm not sure I can do long distance for the foreseeable future with a commitment-phobe, and with Guy 2 I'm not sure I want to deal with his insecure baggage, awkwardness, and possibly much smaller equipment than I'm used to...
Door number one or door number two? Or the choice that is my other option: choosing to do nothing until the door I'm to walk through is chosen for me, and one of these guys steps up and declares whatever it is that's in his heart. (But really, what are the chances of that happening unless I offer an ultimatum, which I've tried unsuccessfully with Guy 1 before he moved.) In the case of impassioned declarations of undying love from either, I'm left with the inevitable--to make a decision, or start listing pros and cons about both of them and decide on neither, and go back to square one, which is just sad and lonely.
